Orchestras of the world have for years largely been a man’s world, but female conductors have been slowly making inroads in the industry and leading some of the most prestigious orchestras throughout the world. We are here to help these women enjoy some of the recognition that they have earned.
Becoming the conductor of a major orchestra requires not only talent but years of dedication and hard work devoted to your craft. Couple that with some gender stereotypes and it’s safe to say that these women have earned their places on the international stages in which they perform.
For those that share our love of classical music and the international orchestras that perform it for us, we want to highlight the role of women in this art. Please join us in celebrating their accomplishments and their love of music.
